Keyword Position Tracker

Track where your pages rank on Google for specific search queries, monitor position changes over time, and discover gap opportunities your competitors are capturing.

How Keyword Tracking Works

The Keyword Position Tracker monitors your search engine ranking positions for the specific queries you care about. Instead of checking rankings manually in an incognito tab, the platform tracks movements automatically:

  1. 1You add keywords you want to monitor, either by typing them manually or by importing them from your Google Search Console account.
  2. 2The platform checks your ranking position for each keyword on Google Search, recording the position number, the page URL that is ranking, the average monthly search volume, and the change since the last check.
  3. 3Results are stored in a history log per keyword, giving you a trend line showing whether you're climbing, falling, or holding steady for each term.

Rankings are refreshed on a regular schedule so you always have up-to-date data without manual effort.

SERP Position History

Every keyword you track has a full SERP history, a time-series record of your ranking position on each check date. This lets you:

  • Spot algorithm impact: If Google runs a core algorithm update and your positions drop, you'll see exactly which keywords moved and when.
  • Validate content updates: Publish an improved version of a page and check whether the ranking climbed in the days that follow.
  • Identify momentum: Keywords steadily climbing from position 15 to 8 deserve investment; keywords stuck at position 40+ may need a different approach.

The history is stored per site, per keyword, per date, so you always have a clean longitudinal view.

Keyword Gap Analysis

The Keyword Gap tool compares the keywords your site ranks for against those a competitor domain ranks for. This reveals:

  • Keywords your competitor ranks for that you don't: direct opportunities to create or improve content.
  • Keywords where you both rank, but they outrank you: pages that need optimization to close the gap.
  • Keywords only you rank for: your unique traffic moat.

You can run gap analysis against any domain by entering a competitor URL. Results are ranked by opportunity size (high search volume + low your-position = highest priority).

Domain Research Tool

Beyond tracking your own site, the platform includes a Domain Research feature that lets you look up organic search data for any domain, whether competitors, potential acquisition targets, or industry leaders:

  • Estimated organic traffic for the domain
  • Top ranking keywords and their positions
  • Estimated traffic value (what it would cost to buy that traffic via paid ads)
  • Content topics driving the most organic search visibility

This is especially useful for understanding what content strategies are working in your niche before you invest time writing.
